Memorial of Indentures of Lease and Release dated 1st - 2nd November 1708 whereby William Harbourne, Ballincarrick, Co. Kildare, Esq. and William Harbourne, the younger, his eldest son demised onto Michael Harbourne, Dublin City for 400 pounds, the two new brick houses now built on ground situated on the Merchants Quay, Dublin, formerly known by the sign of the Boots and after by the sigh of the Crown.

Wetherall to Harbourne
Marriage Articles 17/9/1728
Memorial of a Deed dated 17th September 1728 between Henry Wetherall, Tyth Street, Dublin, merchant of the 1st part and Jeffrey Harbourne, Simonstown of the 2nd part.
Reciting that whereas there is a marriage between Lettice, daughter of Henry Wetherall and Jeffrey Harbourne, Jr., son to Jeffrey Harbourne,Sr; now Henry Wetherall agrees to pay Jeffrey Harbourne, Jr. 250poundsas follows: 200pounds on the day of marriage and the other 50pounds twelve months after and that Jeffrey Harbourne Sr. agrees to make over to his son the lease of Newtown.

Memorial of Deeds of Lease and Release dated 20th and 21st December 1728 whereby Jeffrey Harbourne Sr., Simonstown, Co. Kildare granted to release to Burley Eaton, Dublin City for 70 pounds the lands of Simonstown, estimated at 273 acres to hold for the lives of Jeffrey Harbourne Jr. and Marshall Harbourne being the lives for which the premises are granted by lease from Ferdinando Swanton and Honoria, his wife, to the said Jeffrey Harbourne and also reciting that Jeffrey Harbourne Sr. demised onto Burley Eaton all the lands of Newtown in the Manor of Kilkea, Co. Kildare containing 129 acres to hold for 99 years if Jeffrey Harbourne, Junior and John Harbourne, sons of Jeffrey Harbourne sr. and Jeffrey Warren, son John Warren of Grangefield, Co. Kildare shall so long live. This (Newtown) was demised to Jeffrey Harbourne Sr. by lease from Right Honerable Robert, Earl of Kildare.

Memorial of an Indenture of Lease, dated 27th June 1729 whereby Ferdinando Swanton, Moone, Co. Kildare and Willoughby Swanton, his eldest son, demised to Elizabeth Nayler, Rathmore, Co. Wicklow, widow two properties of land in Moone for the lives of Jeffrey Harbourne, Simonstown, Gent. and Marshall Harbourne, brother to the said Jeffrey.

Memorial of indented Lease Indented dated July 1729 whereby Ferdinando Swanton, Moone and Willoughby Swanton, his son leased unto Jeffrey Harbourne, Simonstown the lands of Simonstown, estimated at 291 acres, as already enjoyed, to hold from 1st May 1718 (or 1729) for 10,000 years at the yearly rent.

Memorial of a Deed Indented dated 21st December 1731 between Jeffrey Harbourne, Simonstown Co. Kildare of the 1st part and Thomas Harbourne, Dublin City of the 2nd part. Reciting that William Harbourne of Ringsend, Co. Dublin, eldest son and heir of William Harbourne, Esq., Moone, Co. Kildare, deceased, did by deed dated 16th November 1726 (reciting that Ferdinando and Honoria Swanton had by lease dated 23rd May 1707 demised to the said William Harbourne, senior and Charles Mottley, Moone all their part of Moone, containing about 750 acres at the yearly rent of 5s, 6d. per acre, for the lives of Jeffrey Harbourne, Marshall Harbourne and Charles Mottley and that the said William Harbourne, senior and Charles Mottley had come to a division and that William Harbourne sneior's portion came to about 359 acres and about the year 1708 he demised his moyety to John Annely, deceased for 57 years) make over to Jeffrey Harbourne all his title as heir-at-law to William Harbourne,s enior. By this deed Jeffrey Harbourne transferred to Thomas Harbourne all his right to William Harbourne senior's moyety of Moone as then in the tenure of Edmond Dillon or his son, John Dillon.

George and John for the consideration of the sum of 1000 pounds signed over the said lease to Jeffrey Harbourne, Junior of Newtown, Co. Kildare.

Jeffrey Harbourne, the younger of Newtown (1), Jeffrey Harbourne, the elder of Simonstown (2). Reciting that several suites depended between (1) and (2) concerning an assignment made by (2) to (1)
of the Lease of Simonstown and concerning the title of (1) to the lands of Newtown. (1) and (2) agreed that to end these several suites, (1) would grant to (2) his right to the lands of Simonstown except the mortgage then rested in the executors of Allen and that (2) would convey to (1) his estate and interest in the lands of Newtown.

Alexander Thompson, plumber and Robert Wilson , both of Dublin City, surviving executors of the will of Richard Allen, late of Dublin, deceased and Daniel Allen, only son of the said Allen and his heir (1), Robert Parke, Baronstown, Co. Wicklow, farmer, son and heir of Robert Parke the younger, late of Baronstown, farmer (2); Anderson Harrington, Grand Conn, (3). Jeffrey Harbourne the elder, Jeffrey Harbourne the younger, George and John Harbourne all of Simonstown, famers (4), James Morris, Dublin City (5). Reciting that on 19th August 1747, Daniel McNeal and said Thompson and Wilson exhibited their bill in Chancery against said Robert Parke, since deceased, Daniel Allen and (4) by which it was decreed that (2) should pay 146 pounds 5s 2.5d. or in default therof that the defendants should be barred of all right of redemption of the mortgage lands of Simonstown and Baronstown and 3 acres, 2 roods aof turf bog on the lands of Tinoran, Co. Wicklow also part of Tinoran known as Clonullen. Also reciting that Robert Parke and Jeffrey Harbourne the elder agreed to pay the sum but had not the money and (3) advanced the money to Parke and (5) advanced the money to Harbourne. Also reciting that (1) and (2) made over to (3) the said lands of Baronstown, Tinoran and Clonullen and (1) and (4) made over to (5) the lands of Simonstown.

Memorial of Indented Deeds of Lease and Release dated 27th August 1756 whereby Rebecca Swanton, otherwise Harbourne, Simonstown, widow demised to Anthony Ashmore, Simonstown, farmer, her son-in-law the house and garden situated in Kilmainham, Co. Dublin, formerly held by Nicholas Bronigan, dealer, and now in the possession of John Goold, white smith, in as full and ample measure as Rebecca Swanton held the same under the will of her grandfather, Thomas Bennett, late of Dublin City, tanner. To hold for his life time and after to the use of Willoughby Ashmore, eldest son and heir to Anthony Ashmore.

Memorial of an Indenture of Lease dated 23rd January 1759 reciting that George Harbourne and Robert Power, both of Simonstown, demised to William, Thomas and Michael Byrne, all of Simonstown, Yeomen, part of Simonstown commonly called Fansherood, containing about 28 acres, 28 perches to hold for 20 years if George Harbourne and Martha Power, wife of Robert should so long live.

Dated 25th Septmeber 1759. Reciting that Henry Harbourne, a dragoon in Capt. Manghres Troop in Gen. York's Regiment of Dragoons in Ireland, then possessed part of Newtown containing about 60 acres under a lease for 3 lives, all in being, made by him by his grandfather Jeffrey Harbourne, deceased. Also reciting that Henry granted to Thomas Gaugain Landey of Cloveland, Queen's Co. the said property as trustee of Margaret Harbourne, otherwise Landey, wife of Henry, to hold in case he be commanded abroad.

Reciting that (1), in consideration of a marriage portion to (2), demised to (2) part of Simonstown called Fansaughgare containing 10 acres, 2 roods, to hold for 22 years. Said John Burke had married Rebecca Harbourne, eldest daughter of said George Harbourne.
Witneeses: John Wilson, Holdenstown, Co. Wicklow, farmer, George Harbourne, son of said George Harbourne and Edward Nolan, Timolin, schoolmaster. Deed directly before this and made between William Burke and his eldest son, John Burke.
Memorial mentions that it had been signed by Rebecca Byrne of Simonstown, widow and executrix of said John Burke but now wife of John Byrne of Simonstown.

Further reciting that a marriage was intended between (1) and Elizabeth, and that Anne Valentine was to give 300 pounds stating as a fortune, to make provistion for his wife, (1) make over to (3) his lands of Fanshager then in the possession of Henry and Robert Nugent.

Reciting that (1) demised to (4), then in her actual possession, the part of Simonstown otherwise Fanshagar otherwise Killelan containing about 27 acres, 2 roads and the part of the land near Baltinglass town called Downagees at present in the possession of (1) containing 12 acres, 1 rood and 1 perch bounded north by the road leading to Carlow and a field of Mr. Johnstons, east by the road leading to Rathvilly, west by north of Mr Johnsons land and south by Alexander Ree's land. Also a plot of ground in Mill Street, west by John Park's holding and south by Douglas' concerns. Also the part of building ground situated in Market Street, Baltinglass wherein the shambles lately stood containing in fron 69 ft. by 50 ft. deep, bounded north by the street leading to the chapel Hill, south by that part of the street leading to Hacketstown, leased by the late Thomas Cleary (late Patrick Brien's holding) and west by the Market Street.

Harbourne and the 2nd and 5th part, Margaret, Mary and Hannah Harbourne, Garden Lane, spinster, 3 daughters of the late Thomas Harbourne of Tuckmill, deceased, therein designated of Thos. Harbourne the 2nd of the 6th, Thomas Harbourne, Simonstown, son of the late James Harbourne, Baltinglass, deceased, therein after designated Jas. Harbourne the second (7), Rev. Kildare, farmer and James Lawlor, Irongrange, Co. Wicklow, farmer (5). Reciting that by deed dated 1729 (1) was entitled to 50 acres, 3 roods of Simonstown for a term of 10,000 years and reciting that by deed dated 20th May 1842, (1) was also entitled to about 10 acres of Simonstown. Further reciting that a marriage was intended between (3) and Esther Barry and in consideratioin of this and the sum of 250 pounds it was agreed that the lands should be vested in (5) in trust to the used of (1) and his wife, Eleanor and after their deaths for the use of (3).

Rev. James Walsh, Rc Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin, Anna Maria Whyte and Mabel Hussey, both members of the religious community called nuns of the Presentation Convent, Carlow (3), Margaret Harbourne, daughter of George and Eleanor, Presentation Convent, Carlow (4). Reciting that George, with the consent of (2), sold to (3) and annuity of 20 pounds to be paid from the lands of Simonstown for the lifetime of (4).
